    • GUILDERLAND CENTER -- Eva Irene Ogsbury Ferbert, 94, died Monday, May 20, 2002 at the Guilderland Center Nursing Home, following a brief illness. Eva was born in Guilderland Center and lived most of her life there. She was a homemaker and devoted mother. During World War II, she worked at the Voorheesville Army Depot as a checker in the cafeteria. She had also worked for the Guilderland Central Schools in the high school cafeteria. She was a member of the Helderberg Reformed Church and the Helderberg Church Women. She was a charter member of the Guilderland Historical Society and the Old Hellebergh Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was also a member of the Young at Heart Senior Citizens. She was predeceased by her husband, Gustave H. Ferbert in 1995. She was also predeceased by six brothers, Russell, Earl, Milton, Clarence, Chester and Lester Ogsbury and two sisters, Florence Ogsbury Jutton and Ethel Ogsbury Serson. Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Ferbert Herchenroder and her husband, Russell of Guilderland Center; four grandchildren, Leslye Herchenroder Sone and her husband, Rodger of Guilderland Center, Susan Herchenroder of Howe Cave, NY, Debra Herchenroder Faas and her husband, John of Traverse City, MI and R. Allan Herchenroder and his wife, Patricia of Guilderland Center; four great-grandchildren, Todd S. Ronda of Zeeland, MI, Melissa Faas Chartier and her husband, Byron of Traverse City, MI, Jodi Ronda Eggerding and her husband, Jeffrey of Grand Rapids, MI and John A. Faas of Traverse City, MI. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Prospect Hill Cemetery, Guilderland. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Helderberg Reformed Church Youth Fund, P.O. Box 196, Guilderland Center 12085.
